Midtown Atlanta Real Estate

Welcome to Midtown Atlanta!
Located along side the I-85 and I-75 (The Downtown Connector) is where you will find Midtown Atlanta! Located between Downtown Atlanta and Buckhead, Midtown contains many of the city’s landmark buildings, including the Bank of America, Atlantic Center, 1180 Peachtree, and Icon Midtown. Some of the more notable condominium towers include Viewpoint, Spire, Mayfair Renaissance, 1010 Midtown and the Four Seasons.
When searching for a home in Midtown, most of them are listed by a specific condominium name vs. just Midtown Atlanta!
What IS Midtown Atlanta?
If walking and leaving your car parked is your kind of lifestyle, the Midtown Atlanta is the place for you. The area is served by three MARTA stations, North Avenue, Midtown and Arts Center. Midtown is often called the “Heart of the Arts” since it is home to the Fox Theater, Woodruff Arts Center, The High Museum, Museum of Design Atlanta, and the Center for Puppetry Arts.
Midtown is also a dining delight….restaurants with everything from sandwiches to steak tartare…and in between can be found in Midtown! Midtown is even home to the Atlanta Food and Wine Festival! You can enjoy the cuisine in the ambiance of the restaurant, or in the comfort of your condo or single family home via a variety of delivery services.
Midtown’s major streets consist of Spring, West Peachtree, Peachtree, Juniper, Piedmont and Monroe traveling North/ South, and North Avenue, Ponce de Leon, 10th and 14th traveling East/West.
The central portion of Midtown along the North/South streets is lined with high rise condominiums, office towers and several hotels. To the east of Juniper Street starts Historic Midtown, a quiet residential area of single family homes populated by Victorian, American Four Square and craftsman-like bungalows.
Midtown Atlanta Culture
Along with the vibrant arts and dining experiences, there is Midtown’s “backyard”… Piedmont Park. with over 180 acres of open space, walking trails, tennis courts, swimming pool and more, it’s Atlanta’s Central Park…no doubt! Easily accessible from almost any part of Midtown by walking, the park also borders the ever expanding Atlanta Beltline….a wonderful vision and redevelopment of former abandoned rail lines into a system of trails that will eventually circle Atlanta. It is one of the largest, most wide ranging urban redevelopment programs in the United States!
A few years back, I wrote down my idea of what Midtown Atlanta is….
It’s an elevator ride from home to the street.
It’s waking up with sun streaming in your picture windows
It’s coffee on your balcony as the city wakes up below
It’s lunch at a sidewalk bistro with your OTP friends
It’s a walk to the market for those last minute dinner provisions
It’s dinner with friends and a good bottle of wine
It’s sampling a different restaurant every night of the week.
What Is Midtown Atlanta?
It’s a night of cocktails and conversation in the night life scene
It’s a dramatic sunset across the horizon.
It’s an elevator ride from the street to home. –Thom Abbott
