Why Should A Buyer Use A Realtor?

There is no out-of-pocket cost to the Buyer when using a Real Estate Agent

Why Should a Buyer Use a RealtorToo often, Buyers and Sellers are simply not aware of all the services that a REALTOR provides in the course of a real estate transaction. REALTORS often assume that our expertise and knowledge are understood by those we work with, or have the potential to work with.

However, most of the important services we provide to you as a BUYER are behind the scenes. I can show you 40 or 50 homes ( although I hope I never do!), but much of what we do in our job as your Buyer’s Agent and for what we get paid, does not start until you have identified a specific property and are ready to make an offer on that property!  Without a REALTOR, too often the transaction can be placed in jeopardy. You might be able to hop on the Internet and identify homes, but there is much more to it than that, and the mistaken idea that getting from the Internet to the closing table will be a piece of cake. If you have a Buyer’s Agent, it probably will be. If not, “buckle up, it’s going to be a bumpy ride.”

Why Should I use a Buyers AgentIn a typical real estate transaction, there are hundreds of details to be met. Those include every blank that is filled out in the Purchase and Sale Agreement to scheduling your closing. The level of skill, attention to those details, and our knowledge will be the “guiding light” to help you through this journey of buying a home or condominium. There are numerous people that we will deal with from start to finish! And having that experience on YOUR side is important!

That list of things we do can be as simple as a few minutes, or can take hours and multiple phone calls or emails to resolve. Please keep in mind that every real estate transaction is different, and to have someone on your side to help you will make buying a home much less stressful.

Most of the time, these services are at no cost to you, so why would you not want this experience behind you, guiding you along? (There is the thought process that by not using a Buyer’s Agent, you will save money. But many times, that Listing Agent is taking that full marketing fee “because I will be doing all the work since you don’t have an agent representing you.” Also, keep this in mind as you think you don’t need a agent to represent you….the Seller HAS and Agent representing them by the mere fact that they have listed the home! So, who are they really working for?
