Papa John’s To Open New Atlanta Headquarters
Papa John’s announced this month that Atlanta will be home to a new global headquarters. This location will handle menu innovation, marketing, customer experience, HR, diversity, equity and inclusion, communications and development functions.
Papa John’s said the opening of the new Atlanta location and its organizational changes are expected to be completed by the summer of 2021. Papa John’s company-owned or franchised stores or its nationwide network of quality control centers will not be affected by the new headquarters.
“We’re thrilled to open a headquarters office in such an energetic and diverse region,” said Rob Lynch, President & CEO.
“Metro Atlanta’s deep talent pool and its world-class airport connecting us to the domestic and international markets that are key to our brand’s future will accelerate our long-term growth. Atlanta is also our largest corporate-owned restaurant market and the location of our newest and most sophisticated QCC. The Louisville headquarters – Papa John’s home for 36 years – remains essential to the company’s success and we look forward to continuing to be a great corporate partner in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.”
The company is currently in discussions with a number of potential office locations throughout the metro Atlanta area and expects to complete the selection process by the end of 2020.
“These changes to our corporate structure and team mark another milestone in Papa John’s ongoing transformation into a more innovative brand with a culture that is focused on diversity, inclusion and winning,” said Papa John’s Chief People and Diversity Officer Marvin Boakye.
Of course the final location selected for the new headquarters will determine where individuals may be looking to purchase homes in Atlanta. Younger, Millennials may opt for the urban flair of Midtown Atlanta, whereas families looking for schools and larger homes could look in outlying suburban areas like Alpharetta, Johns Creek or Kennesaw. It really will depend on where the office is located.
New or relocating Papa John’s employees will want to take Atlanta traffic into consideration as they look at housing options. MARTA transit provides limited options to use a train to get to work, unless the offices are located near a transit station.
